The End of The World

I’ve written and written, until it’s all been wrote

The end of the world is coming, that’s the content of my notes

Christ is coming at an hour you could never predict

But if you think it could be at any moment, then you’ve been tricked

Let no man deceive you by any and all means

That Day will not come until the man of sin has been seen

He’ll sit in the temple and declare that he’s God

The whole world will marvel at this man, who’s a fraud

Like Shadrack and Meshack and Abednego too,

He’ll set up an image and tell you what you can and cannot do

“I’m the alpha and Omega, worship me above all else”

“Burn the churches, burn the Bibles, I don’t want any on the shelves!”

The furnace is burning for all those who won’t obey

There’s no place here for Christians; this is where many will fall astray

In Daniel chapter 3, we know exactly what comes next

The believers stood strong, that’s what it says in the text

In the refiner’s fire redemption took place

Not before or after, but during this disgrace

There shall be greater tribulation than this world will ever see

Those days will be cut short, else no believer left there would be.

Tribulation is of the believer, it’s persecution all the same

That’s why the Bible says in tribulation to rejoice in Christ’s name

This wrath is of Satan, not of God’s Holy Hand

Do not fear this world. It’s all part of what God has planned

When we are thrown into the fire our souls will be unharmed

We will awake unto the Lord at the sound of the alarm

Immediately after the tribulation of those days

The Lord will answer all the prayers that have been prayed

The sun and moon will darken, and the stars will give no light,

The sky will crack open to reveal a glorious sight

The Son of God will appear, and blast a trumpet sound

Then all who believe in him will arise and be crowned

All men will see this extravagant event

The rapture is no secret, that’s never what the book meant

The Day of the Lord is both terrible and great

It’s on this day alone where we meet our fate

At this great harvest the wheat and weeds separate

The weeds to wrath and the wheat to the pearly gates

This Day will be as in the days of Noah and Lot

This Day may not be as though you were once taught

Two sides of the same coin, it’s both redemption and wrath

The same day Noah entered the ark, God began the bath

looking back in the Word, for Lot it’s the same

The day he left Soddom, the fire from heaven came

So too it will be when the Son of God appears in the clouds

On the Day of the Lord is when the trumpet will sound

The dead in Christ rise first, then those who still remain

Will be gathered up in heaven, while the world hides from His name

Seven plagues of judgement to this world He will pronounce

But the sin of the world the people will not renounce

In fiery rage, the man of sin’s anger will fume

He will gather an army and spell out their doom

Babylon the great will be destroyed with great power

His stronghold of strength will fall in the matter of mere hours

He will curse the God of Heaven and challenge His throne

Christ will again come down and make his presence widely known

From end to end the sky will be lined

With believers in Christ from all time combined

Without hesitation Satan’s army will attack

With just one word, the entire army will lay flat

The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord

He shall reign forever, the rock is victorious over the horn

There remains still a question, “did God do enough?”

“Make yourself more obvious”, people declare off the cuff

For one thousand years Christ will rule and reign on earth

He’ll dwell in Jerusalem and demonstrate faith’s worth

Is sight a good excuse for the wicked’s disbelief?

At the end of this millennium we will be able to debrief

When that time comes, Satan will be loosed

He will go to the people who remain and begin to seduce

If sight was enough, then he surely will fail

Christ can be seen clearly, belief should prevail

The problem runs deeper than what’s seen on the surface

We need Christ in our hearts, if you don’t, you should be nervous

Our nature is sin, we don’t want what is good

Christ could be with us, and we still don’t do as we should

We deny who we are and we repent unto Christ

Ask forgiveness of your sin, that is the price

Christ, the firstborn, has earned the birthright

A new heaven and earth, where God himself is the sunlight

No more crying, no more death, no more sorrow, no more pain

You are heirs of this inheritance if you believe in the lamb who was slain

The road is marked with hardships and tribulation along the way

But at the end of the world, I hope to see you there with me, I pray
